Autism and Developmental Delays

Some children with a PTEN gene alteration will be diagnosed with autism. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. One in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK. For more information and help on Autism and developmental delays, please see the links and video below, and Yvonne’s fantastic patient story about her son Hayden who was diagnosed with PTEN and autism.
